After 26 years as an educator in the enchanting lands of New Mexico, I decided to answer adventure’s call. A minimalist at my core, I moved to Cali, Colombia--my mother’s home country-- with two suitcases and a dream in hand. I can't wait to share my love of Colombia, travel, history, culture and adventure with all of you.
Thirty years ago, a seed was planted when I read a want ad in a travel magazine--staff needed on a cruise ship! I wanted so badly to answer that call, however, I already had a plan--college. Then to appease my adventurous spirit, I moved to New Mexico and began my teaching career in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. I obtained my masters degree from St. John’s College in Santa Fe where my thirst for travel was re-ignited after rereading Homer’s Odyssey. In 2009, I returned to Cali, Colombia for the first time since 1974 for my grandmother’s 90th birthday. I could feel the adventure seed grow and begin to take shape. For the last ten years I have been making my return to the world’s second most biodiverse country and fell in love with all of Colombia’s beauty, majesty, and people.

I left my home country of Colombia to obtain my masters degree in Public Administration in the United States. After four wonderful years, I made the decision to return to Colombia. I wanted to work for its growth, its people and promote its strengths.
Today, I am happily married, with 2 beautiful children. I have spent the past 13 years working in the public sector for foundations and international funding programs for the equity and well-being of Colombia's most vulnerable communities. Through this work, I have had the opportunity to see magical places, or as Nobel Prize winning author, Gabriel García Márquez described, "landscapes that, together with the love of their people, are worth sharing!" We can't wait to share the greatness of our landscapes, our exquisite food and the joy of our people!

Welcome travelers! My friends and family call me “Pipe” (Pee-Pay). I was born and raised in Cali, Colombia, where I am currently a college student majoring in Business Management at the University Libre. For fun, I love playing soccer; I am the Captain of my University’s soccer team. I also enjoy spending time flying virtually with a flight simulator, where one day I wish to become an airline pilot. I am an avid horseback rider and can lose myself for hours roaming the Colombian countryside. It is a privilege traveling with our Todo Bien Colombia clients and I look forward to providing you all a safe and fun Colombian adventure. I look forward to meeting many more of you in the near future and sharing my beautiful country with you!
